Broken ankle and all, RDA recently participated in a Sea Shepherd protest event (it's a conservation group he belongs to that, among other things, protests the killing of baby seals - see the What's New section off the main page of www.rdanderson.com for full explanation and links to press releases and stuff) that had him hobbling around on the pack-ice, mingling with harp seal babies. And as he always does between seasons (except this time it's not "between" seasons for him, is it? *sob*), he's let his hair grow out:

ETA: (I am putting the URL back in, as I am having NOTHING BUT TROUBLE creating a viable hotlink today, apparently. It works for me, but isn't working for others, or the text-link above gives you a "forbidden" message when you click it, then actually shows you the pictures when you hit refresh, and.... GREMLINS! GREMLINS IN MY LJ! AAAARRRGH.

If nothing else, just go to www.rdanderson.com, and click on What's New.

Lord knows I adore RDA, and this could hardly be cuter, although I have to say that I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt in regards the long-hair look; I will save final judgement until I get to see some pic where he doesn't have parka-head. My goodness, he's such a hippie.

See, I love the hair, parka-head and all. Because that's how big a fangirl I am. *g*

Seriously, though, he's lookin' pretty damn good. And glowy. He actually makes that baby seal look almost not-cute in comparision.

BTW, I couldn't link directly to the images, I had to cut and paste the URL--I guess they've disabled hot-linking?

Oh, I think it's A-DOR-ABLE, *especially* with the parka-head, because, heh. I'm just acknowledging that... he's had good haircuts and bad haircuts over the years; and the growing-out stage isn't necessarily when a 'do looks its best.

Hmm. It's hard to explain. He always looks good. There's times when goofy stuff happens with his head, and then, he looks *cute*. Touseled is, absolutely, cute as a button. But for *me*, there are certain hair choices that are *hotter* than others... but that has nothing to do with whether it's messy or not. (I think some of his hottest looks are when his hair is *just* that length where it can get optimally tufty.)

Linking -- um, no. It's working as a hot-link for *me*. That's weird. Maybe it's my layout or something?

Yeah, I had to cut-and-paste too.

Huh. Totally weird. Okay, do me a favor, and try it now? (I put in the link in a different way. The "non-lazy" way.)

Nope. Permission denied.

Oh, for the love of....

(I just tried it, it pulled that on me as well; then I hit "refresh" and it gave me the pictures. My goodness, but LJ hates me today...)

Oh yes. There's a certain level of touseled that makes it look like Daniel has just had his way with him. *g* At a certain point, it graduates to 'floppy', and that's just silly. Cute and silly. IMHO, of course.

I'm with you on the tufty.

Cute and silly is dandy, and has its own rewards. And sometimes, it's floppy, but just in the right way. I'm not saying that I haven't liked *any* of the various long-haired looks. Some of them: mmmrrrrrrooooowwwwrrrrrr. (I'll actually defend the hotness of a percentage of the MacGyver looks; though, not *all* of them, because sometimes it was like, my god, man, what did you let them DO to your HEAD?) The long hair can be verrrrrrry good, and actually I've been quite curious as to what it would look like now that it's all salt-and-peppery, because I suspect that could be really, really, really good.

And these pics make me think that's true, but while he's cute *in* the pics, I don't think they're the best possible pics of the longer-hair-look at its best. Cause, you know, parka-head. *snerk*

And bottom line, I think I prefer tufty to floppy. As a gut-feeling of hotness.

The short hair is seriously hot, but I'll take him any which way. Because omg he's playing with baby seals. :D

he looks rather happy, although a bit cold. interesting to see his hair a bit longer. but yeah, parka head. static electricity is always such a pleasure to deal with along with that. hee.
