Date: 2008-02-17 01:22 am (UTC)RotLA was the first movie I saw over and over and over in the theaters. I'm so very attached to it...

Date: 2008-02-18 04:05 pm (UTC)If nothing else, I have to hope, because -- Harrison Ford is a picky guy, clearly. He's not a big ol' movie ho. And I've gotten the feeling that he feels very close to Indy, and I somehow can't see him agreeing to do it unless he loved the script and felt like they'd make something he could be proud of. It's not like he "needs" to work.
It's still not a guarantee that it'll be great. It could be big and messy and too loud and too busy. But it still gives me hope.

Date: 2008-02-18 04:07 pm (UTC)I do a lot of hoping that a given sequel will be good enough; I know it can never match the energy and astonishment of the original, but... just let it not suck.
I guess with the Indy franchise going so much further back into my childhood, I feel that much more strongly about it... But that's part of what makes me such a sucker for it, too. They had me as soon as the music started playing. :)

Date: 2008-02-17 01:03 pm (UTC)Seriously, I've got goose bumps which isn't something that happens too often for me from a trailer alone. WHEEE!!!!
PS. It's also possible that I've watched this trailer many many many times now.

Date: 2008-02-18 04:09 pm (UTC)... I have watched it many times now as well. (Yet I had to have someone tell me that that's Cate Blanchett in the black page-boy wig...)
