'Fess up -- who out there has been dreaming of a white Christmas?

Whoever it is, KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF.

(Okay, actually, it's still very pretty to walk through falling snow. And at least it's *warmed up* to the 30s. And the inch or so of snow that we got over the ice definitely gives better traction. But still.)

Seriously. It's pretty, but I have a doctor's appointment to get to! WAIT UNTIL THE WEEKEND, OKAY?

It's not too bad -- as I say, walking is actually easier because of the traction. Still, be careful!

Oooo, that's not good.

The more this stuff comes down, the more nervous I get about where I left my car. Yes, stupid me -- I think I took my shovel OUT again and didn't put it back in. *headdesk*

I just pray my car hasn't been towed by the time I get back to it, and that I can get it out of the spot it's in.

Yeah, I blame the weathermen.

You watch the wrong meteorologists. I can recommend several quite dreamy ones if you'd like.

Seems fair to me. Let's get the pitchforks and the little rakey things. And the torches; don't forget the torches.

Hey, you! :D *hugs* (I'm not sure how much the orca thing was forefronted in college, I guess. That said, I'm not sure what other username I could have used -- barring my real name, of course -- that would have been *more* "me".)

What's been up with you?

I still draw; almost all fan-art stuff. I have some stuff up at sgaana.deviantart.com

Will definitely have to look up your friend! Her stuff looks neat!

I kinda hope it snows when I'm up there in January -- like just after I arrive, stopping just before I leave so it doesn't screw up my flights. XD

Yes, that would be ideal, wouldn't it? >_< So of course, that's not what it'll do.

Take that, grumpy pants!

I'm not as grumpy as I COULD be. But my car had better not be towed, and I'd better be able to get it out of the spot it's in!

Oh, it's PRETTY, all right. Few things are prettier than Harvard in the snow. I just wish I felt less nervous about my car...

~sigh~ Know what you mean. With my disabilities walking in the snow and ice is very nerve-wracking; I've been a mess this week every time I've had to leave the house. Of course living at the top of Winter Hill, I've really enjoyed watching the snow, but then when I slide down that same hill it's not so much fun.

I don't have a car to worry about anymore, so at least I'm free from digging it out of the snow, or snow plows, or which side of the street I can park on in a snow emergency or finding a parking place that isn't being jealously guarded, or getting a ticket because you didn't dig your car out fast enough.

I don't miss all that, but on the other hand I have to deal with standing at the bus stop in the cold waiting for buses that don't show up, taxi companies that take half an hour to get through to on the phone and then take an hour to show up when they say they'll be there in 15 minutes. You have to add in an extra hour and a half to your travel time to get to your destination anywhere near on time.

Guess you can't win when it snows in Boston, huh?

*hugs* I've been thinking a lot about how hard it is for folks with disabilities to get around in this. It's just absurd. I appreciate the difficulties inherent in snow removal and stuff, but... One of the things that's surprised me is that there isn't more effort to at least get sand out there on top of the ice. Yes, I know it can't be chipped away easily, and that you can't always use salt, but... hello?

I'm fortunate in that I do have off-street parking for my car at home. So that's one worry I don't have!
