Okay, LOOK, Boston...
Dec. 20th, 2007 09:55 am'Fess up -- who out there has been dreaming of a white Christmas?
Whoever it is, KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF.
(Okay, actually, it's still very pretty to walk through falling snow. And at least it's *warmed up* to the 30s. And the inch or so of snow that we got over the ice definitely gives better traction. But still.)

Date: 2007-12-20 05:05 pm (UTC)The more this stuff comes down, the more nervous I get about where I left my car. Yes, stupid me -- I think I took my shovel OUT again and didn't put it back in. *headdesk*
I just pray my car hasn't been towed by the time I get back to it, and that I can get it out of the spot it's in.

Date: 2007-12-20 07:52 pm (UTC)I don't have a car to worry about anymore, so at least I'm free from digging it out of the snow, or snow plows, or which side of the street I can park on in a snow emergency or finding a parking place that isn't being jealously guarded, or getting a ticket because you didn't dig your car out fast enough.
I don't miss all that, but on the other hand I have to deal with standing at the bus stop in the cold waiting for buses that don't show up, taxi companies that take half an hour to get through to on the phone and then take an hour to show up when they say they'll be there in 15 minutes. You have to add in an extra hour and a half to your travel time to get to your destination anywhere near on time.
Guess you can't win when it snows in Boston, huh?

Date: 2007-12-22 05:32 pm (UTC)I'm fortunate in that I do have off-street parking for my car at home. So that's one worry I don't have!

Ok, it was me. And I can't help it, every night I dream of snow. Perhaps it's the fault of this icon? :::points:::
