Thank you, Anonymous Person, for the jelly-beans! I LOVE jelly-beans!

I am still feeling pleased about finding out that the name "Easter" commemorates a pagan Saxon goddess's festival. One does wonder, though, if pagan goddesses (even of the dawn) would have been quite so into pastels...

I think she would like winter because after a while, pastels would lead her to murder...

It's a neat little tidbit of info, though, isn't it? The thing about Christianity is that so much of it absorbed pagan rituals, ideas, and festivals. And yet so many people don't know it.

Or choose not to.
