More on Stargate Action Figures: series 3 info/pics

Hey, folks! Some news on the ongoing series of Stargate action figures.

Series 2 (Sam, Teal'c variations, Thor) is supposed to be out this month, but various sites I've seen are still listing them as pre-orders.

The newsflash here is about SERIES 3, which is supposed to be out in Feb. 2007.

Apparently it will consist of:

Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell (olive BDUs)
Vala Mal Doran (olive BDUs)
Vala Mal Doran (black bustier outfit from her debut)
Daniel Jackson (black-ops variant)
Cigarette-Smoking Prior (no, that's not what it's called, but it's a Prior based clearly on the one played by William B. Davis)

The previous two sets of figures having come with pieces that let you assemble the Stargate, apparently this set will come with pieces that will let you assemble a DHD. (But it sort of sounds like you won't be able to assemble the full DHD, and if this runs true to form, we'll have to wait for series 4 for that.)

Still no word on the Atlantis action figures. :(

That Vala figure is HOT. But I wish it had her jacket, too. =(

Yeah, true. Although I'm not sure how you would do that. The tac-vests are made out of a very soft, pliable vinyl, so you can get them on and off, so I guess they could have done that for the Vala figure. But the fit wouldn't have looked the same. Alas.

bwahaha! "Cigarette-Smoking Prior" ok....the potential for crossover action figure theatre is mind boggling.

and i see that black ops AUdaniel stole jack's hat? ;)

No, I think that Black Ops Daniel is wearing a black bandana/do-rag, rather than Jack's knit-cap. :)

aw, somehow i'm a bit disappointed...it would have been nice for jack to share. ;)
