Now there's a surprise. NOT.

Jack is your fantasy. You're into the all-American
man.
Who is your Stargate fantasy man? (Ver. 2.0)
brought to you by Quizilla
Arguably, though, I am only impressed by getting this answer because I consciously avoided choosing things I knew were keyed to Jack, like "a cabin in the woods", "sharp wit", and "a hockey game". Cause that would hardly be sporting.
And this is a great picture.
Also, I was moderately impressed with the range of possible answers. Though many equally interesting possibilities were left out.

Date: 2004-11-09 05:48 pm (UTC)If I had a wicked sense of humor, I would have included Sam as one of the possible answers in this quiz, if you happened to hit on just the right combination of responses. Her, or Janet. Which would have amused a certain number of people, and really made many others unamused. ("Whaddaya MEAN, my Stargate fantasy 'man' is Janet? What're ya trying to say? HUH?")
Mostly, my critique of this quiz challenges me. "So you're going to be all snide about the imperfections of an INTERNET QUIZ?" it says. "Well, go ahead, sparky -- design your OWN quiz. MAKE it have 10 possible answers, and ENSURE that the possible responses to the question are thoughtful and telling but don't actually telegraph to you who you're going to get as an aswer if you respond a certain way. Yeah. NOT SO DAMNED EASY, IS IT?"
Well, um.... maybe.

Date: 2004-11-09 07:12 pm (UTC)So, if I were doing some sort of SG1 quiz and asked "Do you like people who can build things?" There's no way I could have an affirmative answer contribute a point to both Sam and Siler.
If I had two questions, 1 being "Do you like people who don't talk a lot" and "Do you like people who believe in liberation for their people.", there's no way to have the first question award 2 Teal'c points and have the second question award 11,000 Teal'c points.
So..that's kind of a bummer. You can still get good results, but it probably means asking more questions. And it reveals one reason why the questions in these things often seem to be a bit too specific, weighted or multianswer questions would be a great way to allow for more nuanced results, but you can't do them.

Or, I could have avoided all of the "obvious" Jack-responses, but still gotten Jack so long as I picked two responses that gave points to his result, while the rest of my responses were evenly split between other possibilities? (i.e. with Jack "winning" because that answer accumulated 2 points while the rest of the points went 1 each to different results).
Hmm. Interesting.
But yeah, it'd be a whole different ballgame if you could have responses apply to more than one result.
Maybe the design of such a quiz is just way too complex for the little engine that Quizilla runs.
