Oh, for the love of...
Sep. 7th, 2004 08:23 pmThe overwhelmingly massive *SNORT* that I let out when I got this result means that I have to share it... Let's all have a resounding chorus of, "No DUH."

J.R.R. Tolkien: Lord of the Rings. You are
entertaining and imaginative, creating whole
new worlds around yourself. Well loved, you
have a whole league of imitators, none of which
is quite as profound as you are. Stories and
songs give a spark of joy in the middle of your
eternal battle with the forces of evil.
Which literature classic are you?

Why am I going on about this? Because at the West Chester meet, I was handed "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock". I didn't read it well, I don't think. I hadn't ever encountered it before. But naturally, the line
For I have known them all already, known them all:
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
I have measured out my life with coffee spoons;
stuck with me. How could it not?
At any rate, it stood me in good stead when the Crash Test Dummies put out their CD a few years later.
Hug Tina for me. Because clearly, she needs it.
