This...this, my friends, is what we call "peer pressure".

OK, I thought Maura had a nifty icon, but WOW! And great LJ user name!!! (I refuse to use "handle", 10-4?)

Erm...do we know one another? It's me, Brant, by the way.

Ah yes, lovely "feature" #7 of LiveJournal: "sudden posts from people you're not sure whether you know or not because LJ hides identity just a little *too* well"!

This is Holly, dear.

And I meant to mention before -- I love your LJ design. Quite one of the most beautiful I've yet seen. Very striking. Great selection of graphics.

Oh! Holly! How are you? I'm well.

Hrm. Oh, thanks for the compliment. Took me ages to get it like that, but I did.

Anywho, I'm Friending you now, so en garde!

But the great fun is meeting old friends "newly", and getting an impression of them as strangers again, and new friends vice versa.

I found the great thing for getting one to really get addicted was to have a bunch of friends, then visit their friends for more more more articles.

People I know you know, so you should friend them:

Former Arlington, now NZers:
[livejournal.com profile] meesto
[livejournal.com profile] trickofthedark

Pink House, now House of the Red Door:
[livejournal.com profile] heavenscalyx

The recent proud parent, and a nexus of LJ SCAdians:
[livejournal.com profile] hungrytiger

From these folks, you can find many folks we both know... and many new folks. Enjoy!!

I'm doing okay; grumpy about being dragged (finally) into LJ, but otherwise...

I understand the impulse to fiddle forever to achieve a graphic effect. I can well see myself doing it if I ever decide to personalize this thing more (and I have to admit, that's one of the siren-song aspects of LJ). You don't want to know how long I dithered around just trying to find and choose an icon.

It's scary.

Awww! But if it wasn't for peer pressure we wouldn't have, like, drugs abuse and Martinis and fashion! And where'd the world be without drugs and Martinis and fashion?! I ask you?!

Have fun playing around with your layout. Remember, the key is to use the S1 system and just use a bunch of over-ride codes, as opposed to trying to code the S2 system (though if you know how to, like, code, then you may be able to figure out S2).

YAY! I sound like a geek!

It's a disease.

Boo.

In the spirit of LJ and guessing games and all that, I'm not saying who I am RL. Though some folks know.

I have no idea what that even *means*. "Blah blah blah...GINGER...blah blah blah."

See, now, but you make it easy to tell because you put your EMAIL address in your User Info.

Very cool handle and icon, though.

I've narrowed down who Sazabhadri has to be, though. Nyah nyah.

welcome...i'm friending you:) (you made the mistake of making a very interesting and well thought out argument on another friend's page, so you are now doomed to endure my perusal of your thoughts:) )
you will, of corse, also have to deal with my horindous spelling.

Ha ha! I've been wondering when you would join LJ. ;) My journal is excessively boring, so you don't need to friend me back.

Okay, DUDE, do you know how freaked-out I was before I figured out that this was ANOTHER of your LJ names? All the user info for this name makes it extremely opaque. (I mean, I'm getting used to studying others' user info for clues as to identity -- you know, "Is this the 'Wadjet' I know, or somebody else?" -- but this one was giving me NO joy.) Right. Got it now.
