Last gasp of fall...

Today, it is frickin' cold here. Winter has settled in. ... Let's enjoy one last look at fall, shall we?

These are some pics from a couple of walks in mid-November, one out at Great Brook State Farm, and one on some paths I hadn't been on before on Lincoln town land.

This horse and rider passed me on the trail going both ways. This shot was taken from a really long way away, across the big meadow seen beyond the pond above.

Two roads diverged... on Lincoln town land. The sunny lefthand path curved around the top of a pond. I took the righthand path deeper into the woods.

The pond had this weird little peninsula bisecting it, with this walkway over to it. But I'm pretty sure it was private land. I think this shot might have been a good candidate for trying to convert to b&w, but I haven't really done a lot of experimenting with that yet.

Finally, a sunset behind the oak tree at the back of my building. There's only two small windows that look out to the south in my apt, and I just happened to walk back there and glance out in time to see this. It changed and faded really quickly, I think because the clouds were moving beyond the sun's rays, but I was able to get some pictures before it went away.
