eregyrn: (SG - Jack & Daniel - brown)
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] kormantic in the 2007 Jack/Daniel Ficathon

(Kormantic: I fully intended to attempt your optional request, but I did not manage it. I’m sorry about that. :( )

Title: LEGENDARY
Author: orca_girl
Length: ~4300 words

Fandom: Stargate SG-1
Season: Five

Warnings: none, except: attempts at humor (I hope)
Spoilers: Brief Candle, Small Victories, Divide & Conquer

Summary: “Just what is it with you and offworld desserts, anyway?”

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] jenlev for last-minute betaing. All mistakes and flaws that remain are definitely mine. Inspirational thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] jenlev, [livejournal.com profile] katie_m, [livejournal.com profile] raqs, [livejournal.com profile] tafkarfanfic (it will be apparent why), and finally, in a sense, [livejournal.com profile] kormantic herself. (Also: thanks once again to [livejournal.com profile] greensilver for agreeing to run the ficathon again this year!)

Oh my god -- it's my J/D ficathon story!

Written for: [livejournal.com profile] iamrosalita in the 2006 Jack/Daniel Ficathon
Prompt: Jack and Daniel break up, angst; they can get back together, or not. No mpreg, no genderswitching.

Rosalita, I don’t know if this is anywhere near what you were thinking of with your request; I don’t usually do angst so I felt kind of at a loss. This is what came out; hope it’s okay.

Title: Paths Diverge
Author: orca_girl
Length: ~3600 words

Fandom: Stargate SG-1
Season: Four
Pairing: Jack/Daniel
Rating: adult, explicit
Warnings: a little dark? not that dark, though, I don’t think.
Spoilers: Absolute Power (missing scene)

Summary: Daniel has chosen his path; Jack chooses his.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] jenlev and [livejournal.com profile] raqs for some lightning-round betaing. I wish I weren’t such an idiot and had more time to take with this. All mistakes and flaws that remain are definitely mine.

This is not my ficathon story... that'll get posted later. (While it is still June 20th, by EST. I promise.)

In the meantime, I meant to post this just to have it somewhere that wasn't the [livejournal.com profile] destina_fic community (which contains a double-handful and more of cool fic, amongst other things, so you should totally check it out if you haven't already), so I could archive it myself. I wrote this last week for Destina's birthday, and it's just a little slip of a thing. It's also the first thing I've written for this fandom, and believe me, that was a scary stage to step out onto after all the time I've spent reading in it. So, thank you to everybody who's already given a kind reception. Doing it, biting the bullet and posting and all, really helped with the terror gripping me over the ficathon thing. (Hasn't made it disappear, but has lessened it a bit.)

Title: Things He Missed
By: orca_girl
Fandom: Stargate SG-1
Pairing: Jack/Daniel
Rating: adult, but non-explicit
Season: Nine
Spoilers: the set-up of S9
Length: ~880 words

Summary: There were a lot of things Jack missed about Colorado. )

***

Also? A blanket thank-you to everybody for various birthday wishes and things -- I *did* get to see all of it, and it tickled me *immensely*, and you cannot know how hard it was that I was imposing a strict "no LJ-commenting" and then "no-LJ" policy over the weekend because of the aforementioned terrifying ficathon story OMG. Now that I am just about free, I will absolutely be working my way back through and commenting and thanking, but I wanted folks to know that while I *have* been ignoring you, it's precisely because you're all *SO* tempting.
